House Extension Leicestershire

Period house, Oadby / Stoneygate

A substantial period house from the 1920 underwent major alteration and extension to form integrated double garages with family rooms on the ground floor and additional en-suite bedrooms to the first floor. The existing property is dressed with decorative barge boards to gables, string coursing, decorative ridge tiles and specialist wrought iron gutter brackets, internally it retains the Victorian tile floor to the hall and ornate coves and dado railing throughout. It was intended that the extension will preserve the existing character of the property and replicate relevant architectural elements of the house and allow the extension to blend in with the original structure without it appearing to be an extension.
