Portfolio / Conservation / Bitteswell ExtensionChurch extension – St. Mary’s Church, Bitteswell, LeicestershireAs church architect for St. Mary’s Church, Bitteswell, we initially acknowledged the Parish Council’s intention to assess their spatial quality and facilities within the church fabric in 2004. It was hoped that by means of a series of studies and investigations, the parish council would be in the position to commission for improvement of the facilities to the church holistically to comply with the latest regulations and modern form of worship. The design concept is to create a single storey extension to the north side of the church to house a separate function / meeting room with kitchenette and toilet facilities serving both the church and the extension. A new entrance will also be created to the extension to allow functions to be held simultaneously within the main body of the church and the new proposed function room without inconvenient interference. 1 | 2 Back |
